The house is an ideal base for exploring the National Park and the top ten attractions of North Wales which are all less than an hour away. Climbing, walking, scrambling, canoeing, mountain biking, diving and para gliding are all available within a few miles of the house. Or try fishing for wild brown trout in lakes surrounded by stunning scenery or take the footpath for the Glyders and Devil's Kitchen, just 100m from the door.
We are the closest self catering house to the two main paths that lead up to the summit of Snowdon and the Sherpa bus passes the house every twenty minutes in summer allowing you to leave the car if you wish. The tourist village of Llanberis has craft shops and many good restraunts and from here you can catch the steam train that will take you to the summit on the highest cog railway in the British Isles.
Other Activities: Rock climbing, bouldering and canoeing
Golf: There are 9 golf courses within a 25 mile radius of the house. Bangor and Caernarfon are the closest being just 10 miles away. The Caernarfon course is described as 'Challenging but fair 18-hole parkland course with spectacular views of Snowdonia and the Menai Straits and Anglesey. Beautifully maintained with outstanding greens and fairways.'
The course at Bangor is open all year and welcomes visitors. More information on all the courses can be found on the link below.
