Haus Wussler, the modern guesthouse, which was built in 1992 as well as the typical Black Forest farmhouse 'Valley View' of our traditional Black Forest Farm, are located on a sunny plateau, surrounded by meadows and forests, with a splendid panoramic view of the Kinzig Valley / Black Forest.

Relax in the comfortable holiday apartments ('4 Stars DTV' 2009) with balcony or terrace of 1992 or in the historic farmhouse 'Valley View' of 1839, which was renovated and modernized in 2010.

Enjoy the garden areas with a barbecue site and the large sun-terrace providing all facilities for a relaxing vacation in an idyllic location.

'Haus Wussler' is family and children-friendly. Seniors, singles and couples will feel comfortable and will spend a pleasant vacation at our farm.

The children love the farm-animals and the playground with swings, slide, a playhouse and sandbox as well as the large meadows with soccer goals, badminton and table-tennis.

The adults like the quiet location and beautiful nature and also our home-made products, e.g. an original Black Forest 'Kirschwasser' or 'Obstler' schnaps from our distillery.

Enjoy nice walks (also with your dog), hiking, Nordic walking, mountain-biking etc. in the forests next to our property and in very beautiful surroundings.

Dogs are welcome, after prior information.

Smoking allowed outside and on balconies/terraces.

Gengenbach (3 km) is a picturesque medieval city with a historic town-centre, idyllic narrow streets, half-timbered houses, museums, facilities for wellness, sports and recreation, spas, swimming-pools, shops and supermarkets, pubs, inns, restaurants, wine-taverns and cafés.

In the apartment 'Panoramic View' on the first floor, classification '4 Stars DTV 2009' (German Tourist Association), there is a separate living-room with sofas, satellite-TV, stereo unit with CD-player, cassette tape recorder and radio, high-speed Internet access via WLAN (WIFI) / router, two single wall-beds/Murphy beds, a separate bedroom with a double bed and space for a cot/crib, a separate kitchen (a completely furnished kitchen with 4-ring-stove, oven, extractor hood, fridge/freezer, coffee-machine, toaster, electric kettle, radio etc.), microwave on request, a dining place, hallway, bathroom with bathtub, shower, WC and a nice balcony with a panoramic view (see photograph of the guesthouse, upper balcony). Germany with a twist!

This was the first time my family and I stayed in an apartment instead of a hotel. The experience was wonderful. We felt like home with a fabulous view of the Black Forest. Going to the market in Gengenbach and buying fresh food to cook and eat on the terrace was so much fun. Barbara and her husband were so nice and helpful. The fresh eggs from the chickens and the beautiful horses and cows and rabbits were a plus to enjoy. It was very easy to travel around the Black Forest area or hop on train in town to Strasbourg in France. We had a wonderful time and we recommend it to families with children and pets. It was Germany with a twist and we loved it.

We stayed in the 'Garden Terrace' apartment on this charming farm. We found our accommodation to be spotlessly clean and well-maintained, as well as very well-equipped. The property owner has very high standards indeed!

The location, just outside of the beautiful and extremely friendly town of Gengenbach, is picturesque and ideally situated for exploring the Black Forest - by foot, bike, car or even the free public transport you can enjoy as a visitor to the region.

Gengenbach has a lot to offer: culture and tradition, some lovely restaurants and cafes, even immaculate and modern parks and play areas, ideal for young families. It's small but pleasantly bustling with all you could need - and two markets per week.

There is also a lot to see and do within 30-40 minutes of the town, from museums and other points of interest to all the outdoor activities on the doorstep - walking, cycling/mountain-biking and horse-riding among others.

The farm itself is small and full of character. It offered a lovely environment in which to relax as well as holding a lot of interest for our toddler son - the animals, meadow and play area all captivated him (to the point where he would have not have set foot off the farm given the choice!).

A point of real note was the warmth of the welcome which awaited us and the hospitality of the owners which continued throughout our stay. As well as some lovely welcoming touches which greeted us on our arrival, Barbara and Erwin were also very generous with their time during our visit - sharing their farm and also some great hints and tips on how to make the most of the region. We were made to feel very at home and were also given condfidence in where to go and what to see.

There are some added bonuses too, like being able to enjoy some of Erwin's fine schnapps, distilled on the farm from the fruits in their orchards, while enjoying the view across the valley! Oh, and the weather was glorious, hot and sunny in mid September.

We intend to return within six months and I have recommended it as a destination to friends and our own parents. We've never really found anywhere else we would choose to go back to regularly - until now! We will return, and that is the best compliment I can pay them!

We have stayed in this beautiful apartment in the last week of April 2011 and it was splendid.
The apartment is well equipped, big enough for four people and the hospitality was great.

The view from this apartment is truly panoramic and we strongly recommend this place.

This place was very clean, comfortable and had a beautiful view.
The hostess was very pleasant, helpful, and always available for any questions you may have had.
There were plenty of things to see and do close by with a cute historical town just a few miles away.
We would highly recommend this place and would love to visit again.

Our family of 3 stayed at this apartment in late August/early September 2008 for two weeks. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a relaxing and attractive part of the Black Forest. The weather was great and there was plenty to see and do in the local area. The holiday was also significantly better value for money than staying in the UK. Our host were very hospitable, and we look forward to returning again in 2009.
