Benahavis Vacation Rental : Benahavis/San Pedro

We have just returned from a relaxing week at this beautiful and quiet complex. Bill & Margaret have furnished their apartment to a high standard with every appliance you could ask for and is ideally situated with stunning views of the mountains and coast. There are several swimming pools located around the complex which are kept clean and tidy - we were fortunate to have the pool beside the apartment, competely to oursleves for the entire holiday.
If you want to explore the coast and surrounding area, a car is definitely necessary and we recommend a visit to the village of Benahavis, where there are plenty of restaurants serving fantastic food. We drove to nearby San Pedro beach which was nice but pebbly, also the beach at Estepona which was sandy and the sea clear.
We would definitely recommend this complex and apartment to anyone looking for a 'get away from it all' holiday - hope we will be able to return again soon.

Myself and my husband we wanting a relaxing holiday with our daughters and that is exactly what we had. The apartment is set in a quiet hill-side location surrounded by the beautiful Sierra Mountains which are breathtaking. We had a look at the pictures of the apartment which were gorgeous but being there was amazing, beautiful marble floors throughout, very well maintained and equipped with everything that you will possibly need and more and beautifully decorated.

We arrived in Malaga airport and a car is essential as the apartment is 45 mins/1 hr away, we booked the car only a few days prior to arriving called malagacar.com and no complaints they met us at the airport and took us by minibus to there depot which was a 5 min drive away and collected our car and off we went.

There is a beautiful terrace which overlooks the swimming pool which we used most days is great, we used this space alot for sunbathing on very comfortable sunloungers, in the morning having our breakfast and relaxing at night having our evening meal and drinking some wine, and the views simply amazing!!

We had been informed by friends of places to visit locally but we also received alot of information from BIll & Margaret of places to go as well as where the doctors/hospital was (thankfully we did not need them) the Farmacia (Pharmacy) and where the local supermarket was, there is one in Benahavis but we went into San Pedro which was 10 mins away by car, this is a gorgeous place and we went to a little bar there and had a drink and also went to a lovely restaurant for a pizza as well. It has some lovely shops there to browse around and we walked around this place for the afternoon and would highly recommend a visit.

We visited Puerto Banus which is very easy to get there around a 15/20 min drive away and is a stunning place especially the Marina which is full of multi million pound yachts and jaw dropping sports cars and designer shops galore. The beach is beautiful we spent a couple of days there and we were 12 euros for 2 sunloungers which was part of the restaurant/bar we visited. A little spanish jewel was a place called Ronda, amazing views, architecture and history and wonderful pubs, restaurants and an amazing place called 'Chocolat' for the best hot chocolate ever!!!

This was a much needed family holiday and we are already planning another trip next summer. Thank you Bill & Margaret for making our holiday a truly memorable time !!!

We went there for a whole month and still we regretted we had to go back home. The apartment is situated in a calm environment, with the pool at just (I counted) 20 steps away and all the privacy and luxury you need for an outstanding holiday. The materials are all first class, the pictures don't lie! In our opinion, the apartment is even better in real than on the pictures... If I really have to give some critics, the only thing I could say is that a coffee machine would be nice, but really, that's just a detail!

The apartment is located very well if you're looking for some rest, although it is just 15 min away from Puerto Banus, the place to be at night! Puerto banus has many different bars, restaurants, dancings, shops (open untill 11!) and so on, it's the place to be, certainly for young people. Also Benahavis is recommandable, this little town is more 'cosy' and just 10 min away. BTW, it has a good restaurant (La Cocina)...
We also went to Ronda, a classical Spanish town (45min - 1h drive), with the famous bridge. The route over there is really beautiful, as is the town itself.
I would also recommend the apartment to golfers, due to the many golf courts in the environment, one of them is just 5 min away, down the hill.
You'll find the beach at a 15 min drive. We went to the beach at Puerto Banus (Azucar beach, 6€ for a chair and a good restaurant on the beach), San Pedro (Bora Bora beach is very nice, about 10 € for a chair). We also went to Estepona, which is 20 min away, there you can find 'Bikini Beach', a trendy place with good coctails and lounge music (8€/chair). If you really want something exclusive (and expensive ) you can go to Laguna Village, near Estepona, where you have to pay 40€/chair at the pool and 25€ on the beach. Laguna Village is also very trendy. Also Nikki Beach is for the ones with the money :(, I don't know those prices but it is well known by jet-set people.
In short, the apartment has a good location, you'll find what you need in the close environment, although you really need a car if you're not planning to practice for the Tour de France...

Lust but not least, something about the owners. They are very nice and correct people. The contact went really well, you'll get an answer to your questions whitin a day, max. 2. They are prepared to help you whenever they can and to answer your 101 questions.

As you can probably conclude, we would recommand this apartment to everyone!
