Winter breaks and weekend breaks:
We are offering short breaks in Liznjan Villa during the winter season. Three night weekend breaks arriving Saturdays and departing Tuesdays. Four night winter breaks arriving Tuesdays departing Saturdays. We will consider alternative arrivals and departures depending on availability
Swimming:
The coastline is mainly rocky but heavily indented with many sheltered bays, pebble beaches, spectacular headlands and, in Medulin bay, many small islands lying close inshore. Sandy beaches can be found in Medulin and on some of the islands.
The water is exceptionally clean and perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Most of the coastline around Liznjan is totally undeveloped and it is possible to find stretches of coastline, accessed by foot or along farm tracks, which will be virtually deserted even in mid summer. The local beach in Liznjan Bay is very sheltered and has beach cafes close by for refreshment and simple meals.
Getting There:
Fly or Fly Drive: From the UK, Ryanair and Easyjet provide the cheapest travel option. Ryanair fly to Pula airport, just 12 kilometres from Liznjan. This is the easiest and often cheapest solution. Alternatives are to fly to Rijeka airport (on the island of Krk) (Charter companies) which is less than 2 hours to Liznjan or to fly to Trieste (Ryanair) in North Italy (2hrs 15 mins drive). There are also cheap flights daily by Ryanair to Treviso (just north of Venice) and by Easyjet or British Aiways to Venice (Marco Polo Airport). A couple of days in Venice makes a great two centre holiday. Another option is to fly Easyjet to Ljubljana in Slovenia. This route opens up the option of a day or two in the beautiful Slovenian lakes.
From Scandinavia, Scandjet fly directly to Pula from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Copenhagen.
Flights to Pula from London (via Zagreb) on Croatia Airlines are another option. Connections to Pula are better on some days than others.
