Located in the village of Montboyer in the rolling countryside of Charente and enjoying one of the best micro climates in all of France, Langlade is the ideal holiday location for all the family. We can cater for either individual families or extended groups of up to sixteen people in our two beautifully renovated four bed-roomed holiday homes, La Petite Anglade and Villa Anglade. Our properties are set in over three acres of mature wooded gardens in a beautiful rural setting yet close to all amenities. Each house can comfortably accommodate up to eight adults and has exclusive use of its own 10m x 5m, swimming pool. Villa Anglade is a spacious old 18th century farmhouse. The property has been renovated to the highest possible standard offering guests every modern convenience, while at the same time maintaining its old world charm. Particularly attractive features of the house include its exposed oak beams. chestnut floors, cut stone fireplace, stonework walls and comfortable modern furnishings. The house comfortably sleeps eight adults in two large double bedrooms (one downstairs) and two twin bedrooms. It has a large spacious kitchen cum dining area as well as well as a large living room. Two sets of French doors (from the living room and hall respectively) lead onto the large tree shaded back terrace, which is ideal for outdoor dining, barbeque's or simply taking a respite from the midday sun. Meanwhile, the 10m X 5m swimming pool, set in the footprint of an old barn, is the perfect place for a cooling plunge or simply soaking up the sun.

Langlade is situated in the lovely rolling country side of Charente in SW France. Although set in a rural environment there are a host of amenites and activities nearby: Aubeterre (voted one of the most beautiful villages in France) with its lovely square, bars and restaurants, not to mention the largest monolithic church in Europe, is only a ten minutes drive away. The market town of Chalais has a great local market every Monday morning (5 minutes away) whilst Riberac (30 minutes) hosts an even bigger market every Friday. There is a 9 hole golf course just outside Aubterre as well as kayaking for the kids. Wine enthusiasts will enjoy a trip to St Emilion, which Robert Parker describes as 'probably France's most beautiful wine village' or just meandering through some of the other appelations in the area such as Fronsac, Cote de Blaye or Pomerol. We are also fortunate to have a number of good restaurants in the area as well as plenty of family type restaurants.
