For Lovers of French Towns!

It has taken time to get round to sending this review, but we wanted to say what a wonderful time we all had at Fermette De Plouy. Our parents were with us and we wanted somewhere close to the World War One and Two battle sites, so this was a great place to be based and from which to explore. For lovers of French towns, Arras, close to Rimy Ridge, is well worth visiting as well as the beautiful city of Lille which we managed to see on the same day.
The house was spacious and clean, in keeping with our expectations, with a large garden and games area. Whilst the television had a few English channels, it was a good chance to brush up on our French, and practise on the owner! This is an ideal holiday destination for those wanting to appreciate the French countryside; the nearest restaurant at Cheriennes is just a 20 minute walk and was great value for money, with its no nonsense basic menu and locally sourced produce.
Le Touquet was a great treat for all the shoppers in the family, but not for my wallet, as the temptation to buy so many lovely things, was hard to resist! Our children found this town an added bonus as it has a fantastic sandy beach and a water theme park. The authentic local markets at Hesdin and further afield, St Valery, were a must to see and sample, not far from the house, in fact we could take in the boat trip around the bay to see the seal colony!
We have recommended this property to our friends, who will no doubt be in touch.
Thanks once again!
