Wonderful time at Redbricks!

  • 5 of 5
Redbricks is the perfect Norfolk getaway, particularly for a larger party. Roomy but cosy with a log burning stove and big sofas, the house is kick back comfortable with all necessary mod cons. Beds are comfy and the showers hot. We loved the open plan kitchen dining area with large wooden table leading to the patio and garden. Plenty of crockery and kitchenware and a dishwasher make self catering easy although you might be tempted to eat out often as we did, with so many great restaurants in the area. Norfolk is certainly the place for foodies! As a treat, go to The Pigs restaurant which is a ten minute walk from Redbricks. After a fab meal, walking home we were bowled over by the magnificent night sky – being flat, Norfolk is perfect for star gazing. For breakfast and lunch, try Byfords in Holt – a brilliant town which being supermarket free, has great local food shops. Go to Alberts for the best fish and chips. Loving wildlife, we visited RSPB Snettisham at dawn to watch thousands of Pink Footed Geese fly inland for grazing. We also visited Tichwell Marsh and Holkam and Blakeney National Reserves and took a boat trip to see seal pups. Redbricks is ideally situated to visit North Norfolk. We have stayed here twice and hope to go again. The owners are friendly and helpful. We recommend Redbricks – it’s spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Thank you Karen and Andy!

Fab stay in north Norfolk

  • 5 of 5
We had a fabulous stay at Redbricks over half-term with our two young children (aged 3 and 5). The house is spacious, comfortable, well-kitted out and full of homely touches, such that we all felt very privileged to call it 'home' for a week. The kitchen doors open out on to a patio and a lovely large garden, which the kids loved playing in, whilst we kept an eye on them (whilst simultaneously enjoying a glass of wine and the complimentary newspapers delivered at the weekend!). The house itself is really well situated to explore all the delights of north Norfolk, and Karen, the owner was very easy to communicate with and helpful regarding our booking. Thanks again for a great stay - we'd love a return visit! Natalie and family.

A great holiday cottage

  • 5 of 5
The house itself was a beautiful, well designed home from home, with everything you might need for a family holiday, the sort of holiday house we'd love to have. It was in a great location for the many beaches and activities across north Norfolk, and so good to have the very child-friendly pub with good food just down the road, where we ate most nights. We only booked a couple of days before but the owner was fantastic to make sure we got there ok, that the house was clean and tidy for us, and to make sure we had everything we needed. Lots of toys for our 5 year old, a really great long weekend.

Lovely house in a lovely location.

  • 5 of 5
We booked Redbricks for a long weekend to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday with all our immediate family. Our family age ranged from 70 years to 20months old. The house was absolutely ideal and we all loved our stay there. It is very homely with everything you need (lots of lovely little touches) and the children loved the big garden, playing football and on the little swings. There is ample space in the house, it is very child friendly and it is maintained to a very high standard in terms of cleanliness and facilities which we were able to use. The vast collection of books and DVDs was made good use of by the teenagers in our party.

Location is great to venture to Bewilderwood, Dinosaurland or explore the north Norfolk beaches (lots of information provided at the house). We ate at the local pub 'The Pigs' which is very child friendly with an adventure playground which the children didn't want to leave! All in all we had a fabulous weekend and would have loved to have stayed longer and will be booking again for next year. I don't think the photos on the website do the property justice as it is much more spacious than we anticipated and surpassed all expectations. The only thing we regretted was not booking for longer as we would have loved to have had a BBQ and spend more time in the garden (weather permitting). I really would recommend Redbricks for family holidays. Thanks for a great weekend.
