We had wonderful weather, not a single day without sun. Perhaps a little fog in the morning, but not for long.
Priscila is a nice girl, she was very helpful.
Unfortunately my husband got an inflammation in his Achilles tendon and we decided to drop the golf. But it is a lovely area, so we have been to Alcobaca, Nazare, Bombaral, driving along the coast and of course Obidos and Peniche. And went for a walk to the beach as much as my huband's leg could manage. We had a great holiday, thank you. Best wishes from Denmark.
I was born and brought up in the Lisbon area of Portugal, married an Englishman, went to live in UK where I had my family, but now live permanently in Cascais (just outside Lisbon). I devised and lectured on Fine Arts tours to all areas of Portugal for many years, and know the country really well, having also written part of 2 guide books. I still write and do research work out here. I am also a golfer (rather a poor one !) but do enjoy it.
I bought this property because I felt it was an area new to foreign tourism at the time, was on an excellent golf course and I LOVE the largely unspoilt coastline. It is also still a very Portuguese part of the country.
My apartment is light and spacious and I thoroughly enjoy my visits to it when it is not rented out.
Excellent position, views, spacious and airy accommodation.
An area of Portugal that I love, and if one is there during the winter and the weather is not so good, there are plenty of sites of historical interest to visit. I also much enjoy the local food, particularly the fish.
