Brac Vacation Rental apartment: Postira, Brac

We had a wonderful time in Brac and look forward to returning to this beautiful island soon.

This island is really a place for relaxation and to get away from it all*. We arrived stressed out and returned blissfully refreshed.

We loved Flat Elizabeth, the breathtaking view from the balcony of the Dalmatian Mountains across the sea and were very impressed by the high standard of cleanliness and the tasteful decor.

The flat is spacious with an en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom and the “children’s” bathroom next to their twin room. (Our third child slept on the sofa). The kitchen is extremely well equipped so we ate out on very few occasions. There is a good grocery shop with numerous European products at the end of the road.
The description is accurate apart from:
General: There is also a hairdryer and an iron.
Living room: Sofa bed seating for 5 people not 6.
Bathrooms: Excellent bathrooms with showers no baths.
Balcony Breathtaking views and is not overlooked.
Suitability: It is not suitable for an elderly or an infirm person as the flat is reached by stairs.
Ferry: I would advise visitors to arrive at the Ferry in Split as early as possible as there are very long queues in August
Car: Although a car is not necessary, I imagine it would be difficult to be without one.
Activities: We found the organising water sports for our children frustrating, so we gave up in the end but they still had a great time swimming in the numerous beaches or little coves that we discovered during our time there. Although we would normally prefer a sandy beach to a stony one we found that with the latter the water was crystal clear and you if you stayed very still you could sometimes catch the glimpse of some swift moving fish.

We found the staff very easy to deal with and they provided us with loads of information on the island.

I would advise anyone wishing to visit this country to learn a couple of words of Croatian as it really does break the ice and people really do appreciate you making the effort. It certainly adds another dimension to your holiday experience

*If you’d rather visit ancient monuments, as we did in previous years then Italy and Greece are a better choice.
