La Coveta Fuma:
La Coveta Fuma is a small Spanish village nestling in a beautiful green valley between Alicante & Benidorm, just a few minutes’ drive from El Campello with the stunning palm lined promenade, excellent bars and restaurants and fantastic sandy beaches. Visit the fantastic marina and the lively fish market. Traditionally Spanish & totally unspoilt Coveta Fuma is one of the delightful safe, sheltered coves around the area. Coveta Fuma has a well stocked supermarket and a good selection of bars & restaurants in the village square. Coveta has relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, but is far from being remote, in fact the main scenic coastal railway linking Alicante in the North to Denia in the South is just a short stroll away. Fast, reliable and gloriously cheap, the views are breathtaking; passing through countless towns & villages, Villajoyosa, Altea, Calpe...You can shop in the bijou boutiques & colourful markets, enjoy tapas & wine in a promenade cafe or relax on one of the endless beach.
EL CAMPELLO.:
El Campello, Where Sea and Mountain Meet
El Campello is about 14 kilometres from Alicante. Situated in the heart of the Costa Blanca, it has 23 kilometres of coastline with beautiful beaches, hidden coves, orange and lemon groves and breathtaking mountain views. Broad sandy unspoilt beaches such as Muchavista, cliffs and small coves, such as those of La Coveta Fuma or La Venta La Nuza. Its crystal clear waters and excellent year-round weather make this an ideal place for water sports such as sailing, scuba diving and windsurfing. El Campello also has a diving club and a sailing club, and a lively fish auction every afternoon of the year, Monday to Friday on the port. Hiking and walking and cycling routes can be found in the surrounding mountains. Dominating the port is the tower, constructed between the years 1554 and 1557, to ward off the attacks of the Berberiscos Pirates. . Also in this area is the archaeological remains of the Iberian (IV B.C.), Roman and Islamic civilisations.
Costa Blanca North:
Benidorm with its incredible non-stop nightlife great shops and fabulous entertainment is a just a 40 min drive away, or visit Alicante with its bustling cosmopolitan harbour, promenade and designer shopping and fascinating old town. It is also the main rail link to the magnificent theme park Terra Mitica with its lavish setting and heart stopping rides, there's Terra Natura for animal lovers & the water park Aqualandia for amazing flumes & tropical waterfalls.
The surrounding countryside and mountains are spectacular and within 0.5 hours drive from the coastline. The scenery is beautiful and dotted with fascinating mountain villages, all with a history and a story to tell. Views from the lofty mountain fortress of Guadalest rival those from anywhere else in Spain, and it is said that you can see as far as Ibiza on a clear day. An incredibly varied cultural experience awaits those willing to explore the area, as a Bavarian influence blends comfortably with the old Catalan traditions.
