Ocean to sound views cordially greet you in the foyer of this Outer Banks mansion. As the name implies, Picturesque graces you with a setting unparallel with others. She was painstakingly designed to take in the magnificent ocean views to the east and views of the Currituck Sound and Audubon Sanctuary to the west. Picturesque offers a genteel atmosphere of elegance, with fine furniture, antiques and details.

Ground Level: The spacious family/media room has a glass wall, which extends the family room to the pool area. A built in entertainment center with books and tapes surrounds the 60" tv, dvd and home theatre w/surround sound. There is a mbr w/2 Bunk sets and Trundle. Down the hall you will find a game room w/antique pool table, shuffleboard, air hockey, foosball, DirecTV and stereo. There is a kitchenette with icemaker, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. There is a laundry room on this level. A Queen mbr overlooks the pool and its bathroom has a steam shower and sauna. The ground and mid levels both have 12 foot ceilings. The private pool and hot tub are located between the manor house and dune. There is a private walkway, outside the pool gate, to the beach. The garage has exercise equipment (cardio glide, rowing machine and exercise bike) for those who want to stay in top form.

Mid Level: 120-year-old heart pine floors support the sitting room, 3 King mbrs and mbr w/2 Singles on this level. The sitting room/media room offers breathtaking views of the ocean and overlooks the pool. The French doors offer privacy if desired. This room is carefully furnished with an enormous entertainment center storing a 36" tv, dvd w/home theatre surround sound and a library of books, tapes and games. There is a second laundry room on this level. The bedrooms are uniquely furnished for you to enjoy your privacy. A King mbr has a four poster bed, a built in window settee and chair w/ottoman; the luxury bath has marble counters with double sink, a vanity w/seat, water closet porcelain whirlpool and separate multiple jet shower. A mbr with 2 Twins (antique) overlooks the sound. The marble tile bathroom with oversized shower stall is also accessible from the hall. The second oceanfront King mbr has an antique armoire with tv and a charming Penny-farthing bicycle. Windows on two sides surround it. The bath has a whirlpool tub, marble counter, tile floor and shower. The sound front King mbr has private bath w/whirlpool tub, marble floors, countertop and shower stall. This bedroom as 2 chairs, antique tables and picture frame windows of the sound. All bedrooms have custom made curtains and bedding.

Top Level: The grand entrance leads you by way of the open stairwell or elevator, to the formal great room with vaulted 14’ ceilings, crown molding, large fireplace and beautiful views of the ocean and sound. You will find the living area furnished with an understated elegance. The gourmet kitchen with granite counters has a 6-burner gas cook top, 2 ovens, Sub-zero refrigerator, 2 dishwashers, a wine cooler and ocean views. The granite bar in the kitchen offers the company of 5, at stools, for the chef. There is an oceanfront dining area with antique pine table for 8. On the west side of the house you will find a formal dining area for 10 with fireplace and a glistening panorama of the Currituck Sound. A luxurious King mbr suite has a tiger maple four-poster bed. This suite has a private screen porch with wicker furniture. The bath of marble has a shower stall equipped with multiple jets. There is a porcelain whirlpool tub in this bath. Your private library/sitting room has a fireplace, DirecTV, computer, fax and sound front deck. 120 year old pine floors throughout this level. Picturesque has been carefully appointed as befitting a summer manor house.
