The apartment is situated in Via San Leonardo in the heart of the Parasio (the old part of Porto Maurizio). The Parasio dates back to medieval times and is situated at the highest part of the town. If you are interested in churches and architecture there are lots of places to visit.

Car: not necessary
The walk to the beach from the apartment takes approximately 10 minutes, although coming back up the hill takes a little longer! Recently a couple of lifts have been built, which makes the journey uphill easier! During the high season there is an open-air bus that travels to and fro. Most of the beaches in Imperia are private. For a small entrance fee you have access to all of their ameneties (including a bar). To rent a bed / umbrella / deck chair costs extra. There are also smaller public beaches. The Parasio dates back to medieval times and is situated at the highest part of the town. If you are interested in churches and architecture there are lots of places to visit. Two minutes walk from the apartment are the Porticos of St. Clare, a very peaceful spot that overlooks the sea. 'Il Gira Parasio' is a beautiful little tour of the area with signs telling you all about the beginnings of Imperia, and of the Parasio's very own St Leonardo. .

  • My name is Jenny and most of my family are Italian. My husband and I bought this lovely apartment to have a base in Imperia. If you would like more information please do not hesitate to e-mail me/call me.

    Bedlinen and towels are included in the price, but we do ask that you bring your own beach towels.

    There is a £25 final cleaning fee, together with security deposit of £100, which is returnable at the end of your holiday (less any breakages!)

Imperia comprises two distinct urban centres, Porto Maurizio and Oneglia, separated by the mouth of the River Impero. The apartment is situated in Via San Leonardo in the heart of the Parasio (the old part of Porto Maurizio). The lounge has a bed settee that is easily converted and sleeps two very comfortably. There is a TV and DVD player. There is a dining area in the lounge (seats four). The kitchen is newly fitted with gas hob and oven, a fridge-freezer and a washing machine. The double bedroom is lovely with a king size bed, bed-side tables and a dresser. The bathroom is fully tiled with a shower, pedestal washbasin, W.C and bidet. We decided to use the second bedroom as a dressing room. It has generously sized wardrobes and there is plenty of room for a travel cot if you are travelling with a little one. Imperia is not well known to English tourists, being a favourite holiday place for Italians, mainly from Turin and Milan.

The beauty of the place is that it’s not so commercialised and reflects the Italian way of life more accurately. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the apartment, and the main high street of Porto Maurizio is just a 5 minute walk.
