Photos and Description of the Correze vacation rental

Maison rouge is situated 20 mins. from the market town of Terrasson and 1 hour from Perigueux. The charming little town of Hautefort with its Chateau, shops restaurants, riding, and lake is only 15 min. away. Saint Robert one of the listed villages of France, Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Eymet, Montignac and the Lascaux caves are all within easy travelling distance. Activities such as canoeing and climbing are to be found at several places on the river Vezere, and the valley of the Dordogne. The area is scattered with excellent eating places. There is a good public swimming pool at Objat which is approx. 25 mins away and a large lake near Brive with a beach and water sports.

Location: Limousin < France

In this rural area it is necessary to have transport to visit all the interesting and historic sites of the Dordogne/Correze. There are many pretty villages to see and good restaurants to visit. However if you just want to chill out and watch the buzzards circle, or see the deer grazing as you have breakfast, you can do that too.

Maison Rouge has been renovated within the last two years and now has 2 double bedrooms and bathroom on upper floor. Downstairs, kitchen, utility room, and sitting room with logburner and french windows leading to patio with stunning views across the countryside. The cottage is immaculate throughout, situated on a former farm, along with owner's cottage, all surrounded by its own land. A place of peace and tranquility with lovely walks and yet within a few minutes of the small village of Villac with a baker, post office, two bars and restaurant.
