Rustic Luxury perfectly describes this amazing private home in Keystones River Run Village. Built with the typical style seen in Southern Colorado, this private lodge is among the most exclusive properties in all of Keystone. Kitchen - This is the kitchen of all kitchens! Featuring all commercial grade Thermador appliances and 2 islands, this is a cooks paradise! One island is a dedicated wet bar, the other is intended for food prep and is large enough to use as a buffet style serving area. A large flat screen TV is mounted on the wall in the kitchen so the chef will not be left out of watching the game with everyone else. A finely crafted table sits to the side of the kitchen and has seating for 10 people. Main living room - Hold your chin....your jaw will drop when you walk into the main living room area upstairs. Huge exposed wood beams support a sky-high vaulted ceiling. The huge gas fireplace in the living room is the centerpiece of this room with a tall rustic chimney and a wide hearth that will make you feel you are part of a picture out of Mountain Living magazine. A large comfy sofa and several chairs in front of the large picture window make this room a dream come true. Main master bedroom - The main master is on the Eastern most wing of this keystone lodge. The huge picture window to the South features a full 180 degree view of Mountains, and the front side of Keystone Ski Resort. This bedroom features amazing architecture of exposed wood beams and high vaulted ceilings. A king bed populates this room along with all the furnishings you would expect in such a luxury retreat. The attached bath features a palatial steam shower with overhead rain shower head. A stacked washer and dryer are also located in the closet of the master bedroom so you don't have to run downstairs to the main laundry room. A flat screen TV on the wall completes this room. 2nd upstairs master bedroom - The western wing of this Keystone house features the 2nd master bedroom, also furnished with a king bed. The attached bath features a jetted tub with a flat screen TV mounted above. The ladies will love stepping into this private spa and pampering themselves with silence and tranquility. Downstairs master bedroom - The downstairs master bedroom features a large King bed and an attached bath. Furnished in all high-end furniture and bedding, this room will make you feel like you're staying in a palace. A flat screen TV completes this room to perfection. Monster Garage - The available 2 bays of the garage feature a massive amount of space for 2 large vehicles plus space for extra gear such as skis, bikes, and more. The heated concrete slab means that your cars and gear will be toasty warm and ready for top performance. Scraping ice off a windshield is something you do not need to worry about. Dual bunk rooms - These side-by-side rooms are separated by a shared Jack and Jill bath. These 2 rooms are ideal for kids and feature sleeping capacities of 4 people each, for a total of 8. These rooms are located downstairs right off the downstairs living area. Downstairs living room - Located on the bottom floor, this room features a large 50" flat screen TV and an extremely comfortable sofa. To the rear of the room, opposite of the TV, there is a full wet bar complete with microwave, sink and fridge. Step outside to the ground level patio and hop into the large hot tub after a long day of skiing. A huge gas fireplace is the centerpiece of this room and is perfect when coming inside from the hot tub. The Art Collection - While at the home, enjoy the collection of original artwork assembled by the owners. Original oil paintings by Native American Farrell Cockrum of the Blackfeet Nation of Northern Montana greet you in the Great Room, including Cheyenne Visitation, a bold impressionistic work depicting Blackfeet Indian warriors on horseback. Also adorning the walls is an original landscape by Barbara Coleman, a New Mexico artist represented by galleries in Santa Fe and Taos. You will undoubtedly enjoy a portrait of cowboy singer/songwriter Michael Martin Murphy by Colorado painter William Matthews, once hailed by Forbes Magazine as the new Frederick Remington of American painting.
The kitchen and master bedroom on the west side of the home feature original works by Kim Stanfield, a Midwest-born painter represented by galleries from New Mexico to St. Louis. The master bedroom on the east side of the home contains vintage barn doors dating back to the early 1900?s and original oil paintings of barns by Sally Schoch, a Chicago area artist whose work is shown in galleries around the Chicago metropolitan area. Front deck - The front deck is probably one of the most popular places in the home. Straight on views of the entire front side of Dercum Mountain will amaze you. Located right off the main living room, the deck is made of fine Brazilian hardwood and is the perfect place to relax on a warm winter day after being on the ski slopes all day long. The best part is that this deck is a southern exposure and gets full sun all day long, so there is usually no snow or ice built up.
