The restaurant located nearest the complex is 'Jameson's by the Sea', a fine dining restaurant. The Ali'i Drive shuttle bus, painted red, white and blue, runs along Ali' Drive at approximate thirty to forty-five minute intervals. Although you are on the ocean, the best swimming beachs are approximately one mile south, or in the village one and a half miles north. White Sand Beach Park Magic Sands), is a few minutes drive south. Slightly further is Kahalu'u Beach Park, a renowned snorkling beach. This is popular spot to surf and snorkle; it is frequented by turtles, and has a sheltered access for novice snorkelers. During good weather the swimming is good and life guards are on duty. There are other golf courses to the north, and a course at the Volcano Golf and Country Club, which at 4,000 feet is the highest course in Hawaii.
