You will see at once how Greatview Villa got its name. An easy 10-minute drive from Montego Bay’s international airport, step into its peaceful and secluded gardens – then take in the spectacular view of ocean and mountains beyond.
Inside, the house is a perfect blend of beauty with comfort. The guiding hand of Greatview’s creator and the commitment of its staff are evident in the upscale décor and careful attention to detail. Each of the 5 large bed-and-bath combination suites in the main house has its signature motif and character. Living areas have been thoughtfully designed to meet the varying needs of your party – quiet corners for solitude, large and small-group settings in glorious sun or cool shade, a round glass table for dining outdoors and an elegant indoor dining-room for more formal occasions.
The five large bedrooms each feature en-suite showers and baths (deep-soaking or Jacuzzi), bamboo floors, and a private outdoor patio or balcony. Air conditioning units in each room are controlled by remotes on the bedside tables. Window screening gives you the alternative of enjoying the fresh ocean breezes.
The great-room is a combination living/dining-room with a 40-foot ceiling. Huge glass doors can either open the room to cool ocean breezes or protect it from occasional inclement weather while preserving the view. The great-room boasts comfortable sofas and lounge chairs with good light for reading. The mezzanine above has a smaller seating area for more intimate gatherings. The main floor rooms, covered pavilion and two master bedroom suites are wheelchair accessible and designed to accommodate the disabled.
The covered pavilion with its cushioned rattan furniture is the social heart of Greatview, and most guests find themselves drawn there throughout the day. It’s a great place to enjoy the warmth of a Jamaican day with protection from the mid-day sun – drinking in the colour, birdsongs and fragrance of the adjoining terraced tropical gardens. For sun-loving guests, the deck over the kitchen offers an opportunity to catch the last of the afternoon rays, while partial covering over the deck accommodates those who prefer shade. Amateur astronomers congregate here on clear nights to watch the stars through Greatview’s telescope.
Those who prefer a lounge chair by the pool have a choice of the upper teak deck by the main pool or the lower deck that flanks the smaller pool and hot tub, amidst royal palms and bougainvillea.
Most often, guests choose to dine in the covered pavilion around the circular glass table by the outdoor bar. With comfortable seating for 10 and a large rotating “lazy susan," this is the perfect spot for informal family-style meals. Because we believe that good food tastes even better on a beautifully set table, the most casual meals feel special at Greatview. For more formal occasions, Greatview offers an indoor dining table which also accommodates 12 for a sit-down meal. Light from the exquisite chandelier plays off the fine crystal, china and sterling silver table settings. We can even arrange a 3-piece Jamaican band to provide dinner music!

3 Complimentary day passes (per weekly rental) for access to the Half Moon Beach Resort - a 2 minute drive from the villa. Access includes use of the beaches, pools, gym and tennis courts Complimentary membership at Jamaica’s famous Doctor’s Cave Beach Club – a l2 minute drive from the villa. Membership includes access to the showers, and changing rooms, gym, bar, games room, steam and sauna, and the beach with offshore reef for snorkeling. In addition, the owner will pay 50% of the cost of two day passes per person per week to either the Half Moon Hotel or the Rose Hall Beach and Country Club Greatview has membership at The Cinnamon Hill Golf Club.
