At night, surrounded by a deep blue sky filled with stars, you will see, far below, the slow comings-and-goings of the sailing ferries with their bright lights reflected romantically on the water.
The house is superbly located for walkability. The village grocery, small eateries, and fine dining at the historic Orcas Hotel are a 10-minute hike down a private country lane to Orcas Village, where you can also set out on a whale-watch cruise, rent a moped for island touring, and catch a ferry to a neighboring island – all without worrying about a car, parking space, or a long wait in the ferry line.
Perfect for two couples looking for a relaxing vacation, away from the craziness of the city, within close proximity of the ferry and market but with an amazing view. Eastsound is a 20 minute drive, and Moran State Park about 25 minutes away, with its hiking trails and fresh water lake for fishing or swimming. A waterfront saltwater beach, with public access, is located at West Sound, about ten minutes away.
