Sunset, city and Jemez mountain views from this beautifully restored historic adobe home. Centrally located in the foothills off Palace Avenue and with in comfortable walking distance to the Plaza (15 min.) and Canyon Road. (5 min) The owners favorite walk is the two blocks crossing over the Santa Fe River to the Teahouse for breakfast, dinner at Geronimo or cocktails and dancing at El Farol. The Santa Fe Ski Basin is a convenient 20 minute drive straight up the mountain.Originally situated in an orchard in the 1800’s, this home retains fruit trees in its courtyard which include apple, apricot and pear for your in-season enjoyment. Impeccably decorated with furniture, artwork, and folk art representing the three diverse cultural influences of Santa Fe. The home features thick, adobe and diamond plaster walls, hand-hewed vigas, and slate stone bathrooms.The beds are furnished with high-end bedding including 500 thread count sheets and down pillows. The master bedroom has a queen bed and French doors leading to the west portal displaying sunset views. The second bedroom features a standard "Tempurpedic" bed for anyone with orthopedic issues or for simply a good nights sleep. The kitchen is equipped with top of the line appliances. The home also features a fireplace in the living room, flat screen television, DVD, high speed internet, stereo, radiant heated floors, evaporative cooling unit and a washer/dryer.For your reading pleasure there is a large assortment of southwestern coffee table books on a variety of topics such as pottery, petroglyphs, Anasazi Indians, etc.Enjoy all the comforts this home has to offer and all the charm that Santa Fe has to offer.
