The Forest is located above Snow Pines Estate and on the edge of a forest; it has its own dedicated ski back run through the forest from Serwra’s (the green run from the top of the mountain.) For the ski out you cross over Snow Pines Way, to the ski back on Lower Snow Pines Road, it leads you all the way down to Ridge Rocket, Snow Ghost and Plaza Chairs this will take you 5 minutes. Ski-in access is from Serwa’s, simply take a right turn when you see the exit sign for the Forest, and when you meet the road ski down the road to Snow Lynx on your right hand side.To get to the village center there is a very pretty lit walking path (groomed by snow cats every evening) that will take 20 minutes or you can catch the free Big White shuttle bus. The bus stop is located at the top of Snow Pines Crescent, a 5 minute walk from Snow Lynx.Parking is available for 1 car in the garage plus 1 off street parking. More cars and you will need to park them in Happy Valley Car Park.Enter into a slate floor hallway with convenient half bath & storage for coats & functional boot warmer. The chalet spans 3 floors. On the main floor you will find the kitchen, dining and living room with fantastic views of the mountains. Hardwood floors and whole tree trunks going up the two stories make for a very inviting natural space. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances; sink overlooks adjacent chalet and Wood Island with 3 breakfast stools. A large wood table is set beside the large window overlooking a balcony with a BBQ. The lounge has comfy leather sofas with a slate clad gas fireplace set in the corner of the room with solid wood mantle and 20" TV/DVD, exposed rough wood beams in the ceiling. The top floor holds the master bedroom; with a king size bed, TV and en-suite half bathroom with basin and toilet. This is a lovely light and airy room from the double height window looking out towards the Monashee Mountains. The 2nd bedroom has queen bed, beside table, large built in closet and window overlooks the Forest Road. In the passage is the shared bathroom suite with bath tub and shower. In the basement 3rd bedroom has a queen with a single over top; the den holds a sofa bed and TV, as well as a shared bathroom with bath tub and shower over head. There is a laundry area with washer and dryer. The access to hot tub is through the den. Ski locker is outside beside the front door.
