We stayed at Goombay's Getaway in June of 2009. We had a total of 20 people, 10 kids and 10 adults. This house was more than perfect for us. We were completely comfortable and had a great time. Temperatures hit 101 degrees or more. We set records that week and the people from Carter Beach Properties did a wonderful job keeping us happy and comfortable. It was so warm, they came and installed a window air conditioner (in addition to the central air) for us so that the people staying in the top level would be more comfortable. This was done without request. They also came immediately after we called to fix the pool light. The home is well equipped with all that is needed for a superior vacation stay. It is a very short walk to the beach, which was extremely important to our group. We had no trouble walking the 100' to the beach with chairs, coolers, kids etc. A perfect location!!!! We would most definitely recommend the property to our friends and would most definitely stay there again. The kids still talk about wanting to go back.
