Felta Lodge is an estate on 11 acres filled with timbers and landscaped grounds.
Felta Lodge is an extraordinary property set in beautifully landscaped grounds, featuring vineyard views, in ground pool, hot tub, gazebo, multiple decks for outdoor relaxing or dining, horseshoe pit, firepit, swings to the kids, croquet and badmitten. Modern amenities are included such as flat screen tv, wireless internet, central heating and air conditioning, and the subtleties of days gone by are present as well. Such as the antique light fixtures, real wood floors, antique furnishings, wooden handrail stair cases and more.
Felta Lodge in Healdsburg is 10 minutes from the center of town and near many wineries such as Armida, David Bynum, Hop Kiln, Rochioli and more. As our guests drive up to the home they will notice the extent of the grounds on which the home is set. Several areas invite exploration including the horseshoe yard, swings, western cabin, pool, gazebo and multiple sitting areas.
Walk up to the front door through an ivy covered gate, stone walkway and wooden stairs. Beveled glass in the large front door takes you into the living room with baby grand piano, fireplace, sofas and chairs. To your right is the formal dining room. Straight ahead is one of the upstairs areas with bedroom having 2 twin beds, and sitting room and full bathroom.
Back downstairs and through the living room is the master bedroom with queen bed and separate sitting area. There is a full bath with bathtub only.
Down a hallway to the right of the living room is the kitchen, with beautiful tiled floor, gas range and grill, and lovely views to the garden and pool areas. There is a breakfast nook off the kitchen for informal dining. Down several steps off the kitchen is a meditation room and full bathroom, and exit to the pool area.
A second staircase goes upstairs to several rooms including 2 bedrooms, one with twin beds, another is a great children's room featuring bunk bed, writing desk and children's color scheme. To the right of the children's room is a large office for those that must work during their stay, featuring large desk and pocket doors for quiet.
Separate from the main house behind the pool area is the western cottage, with front porch. Enter into the living room with sleeper sofa, tv, full bathroom and closet downstairs, and 2 sleeping areas upstairs with queen bed and 2 twins.
This is not a contemporary home, rather it's one of understated elegance in lodge style architecture and decor, with antiques throughout. Family activities are throughout, with a focus on outdoor activities that include horseshoes, badmitten, croquet, and swimming. Felta Road is also a nice bicycling road, as it is a dead in street off Westside Road. Nice evening strolls can be taken on this road as well, and you can go under the busy Westside Road and walk out to the Russian River, about 1 mile.
