West Lutton is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, with scenic footpaths and cycle routes for the more energetic, as well as many stately homes and gardens to explore. This lovely location has something for everybody. About the Area: Driffield 10 miles; Malton 12 miles; Scarborough 15 miles. The small, pretty, rural village of West Lutton is situated in the countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. The village hosts one pub, but nearby is the village of Weatherthorpe, which has excellent inns, a village shop and post office. West Lutton is ideally located a short drive from the superb historic market towns of Malton and Driffield, while easily accessible are the East coast resorts of Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough, with their long, sandy beaches and seaside facilities. The surrounding countryside is perfect for touring, walking and cycling, with lots of very good inns, stately homes and open gardens to visit. A day out in the ancient walled City of York, with its renowned Minster and Jorvik Viking Centre is definitely worth a visit, as is the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway at Pickering.
