A charming detached, converted barn located in the rural village of Sleights, just 4 miles from Whitby. This wonderful property is also perfectly located for visiting the fishing port of Whitby nearby, the lovely coastal villages that line the Heritage Coastline, such as Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes, and for exploring the stunning North York Moors. About the Area: Whitby 4 miles. Sleights, being just 4 miles from the scenic Yorkshire coastline, is also on the edge of dramatic moors country, with attractive villages and scenery scattered around, is ideal for both a coastal and country holiday. Although peaceful, Sleights boasts two pubs, an antique shop with caf, a fish and chip shop, a butchers, bakery and a post office. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway terminus is only few minutes' drive, as is regular public transport to and from the nearby port of Whitby. Whitby, lying at the mouth of the River Esk, is perfectly situated for exploring this magnificent part of Yorkshire. It is an amazing town of hidden alleys and winding streets, a beautiful harbour, secure sandy beaches and, of course, reached by the famous 199 steps, the Abbey.
