This is a charming and spacious stone built, cottage nestled in a peaceful setting in the village of Knayton. This superb cottage was once part of a larger Georgian house, seamlessly combining original features with high standards of furnishings to offer very comfortable accommodation. There are two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin with adjoining dressing room. Bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. Lovely country, fitted kitchen. Dining room. Large sitting room with exposed beams and a woodburning stove. Small entrance hall. The area is ideal for those wishing to get away from it all and is just a few yards from the old village green and the local village pub, whilst the town of Thirsk is nearby, with its range of amenities. This idyllic retreat offers guests a great holiday home in which to relax any time of the year! About the Area: Thirsk 5 miles. Knayton is a peaceful village resting on a small hillside on the edge of the Vale of York, nestled between the Hambleton Hills (to the east) and the Yorkshire Dales (to the west). This lovely village is built around the village green, boasting a superb local pub and lovely cycling and walking opportunities. The market town of Northallerton is just 7 miles away, offering brilliant shops and a market every week, whilst just 5 miles away to the south is Thirsk, with a famous racecourse, a cobbled market square and charming little alleyways awash with quaint teashops and lovely delicatessens. Also within easy reach are the historic cathedral cities of York and Ripon. This great area really does have something for everyone. Brief Facilities/Highlights: Roadside parking for two cars on quiet road. Enclosed front and rear gardens with garden furniture and BBQ. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Shop 5 miles, pub 1 min walk.
