This is a pretty, stone built cottage that has been converted from a traditional stone barn, situated in a peaceful position on the edge of the wonderful Dales village of Carperby. The cottage is very well equipped with a wonderfully cosy feel offering superb 'home from home' accommodation. There are two bedrooms: 1 x master bedroom with king size bed and views of Penhill, 1 x family room with twin beds and additional futon bed. Three piece bathroom with shower over bath. Extra downstairs WC. Large well equipped, modern fitted kitchen with dining area and stable door leading off to courtyard garden. Spacious and comfortable sitting room with living flame electric fire. Utility/boot room. This is an ideal spot for a Yorkshire break any time of the year. About the Area: Aysgarth 1 mile; Castle Bolton 2 miles; Leyburn 6 miles. The lovely Wensleydale village of Carperby is a paradise for walkers due to its proximity of the well known Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle which dates back to 1379. Century Carperby was an important centre for Quakerism during the 17th and the largest building today is the classically styled Friends Meeting House overlooking the market cross and village green. The local village pub serves quality food and there is a superb range of amenities in the market town of Leyburn nearby. Swaledale and Arkengarthdale are also easily accessible from Carperby.
