A lovely property, imaginatively converted from farm buildings on the owner's farm, in the attractive village of Staintondale, in the middle of Scarborough and Whitby. The property has been sympathetically restored, and has been furnished and decorated to a high standard offering cosy, comfortable accommodation of character with wonderful country and coastal views. There are three bedrooms: 1 x double, 2 x single (both small rooms with limited headroom). Ground floor bathroom with bath (shower over), WC & basin. Open plan living area with well-equipped fitted kitchen, dining area, and cosy sitting area with woodburning stove. Just down the road there is pony trekking and this cottage makes an ideal place to relax and explore all of the delights of the area, such as the coastal towns of Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby. Located in the National Park there are plentiful walks from the doorstep including the Cleveland Way. About the Area: Scarborough 8 miles; Whitby 13 miles. Staintondale is a wonderfully unspoilt village set on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, and just half a mile from the coast. In-between the fishing town of Whitby, with its renowned Abbey, and the spa town of Scarborough and its entertainment and theatres, it is a true haven of peace providing the best of both worlds. Just down the road is the Staintondale Shire Horse Farm, while there are a network of bridleways and footpaths in the village. This is a superb base for exploring the region. Brief Facilities/Highlights: Travel cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Shared lawned garden with furniture and BBQ. One well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 5 mins walk (limited opening times), pub 1.7 miles. Amenities: Full oil-fired central heating with additional heating from woodburning stove in living room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, colour TV, video, DVD player, stereo/CD player etc. Fuel, power and initial supply of fuel for stove inc. in rent.
