This cottage is the largest of the properties, and offers accommodation over two floors. There are three bedrooms: 2 x first floor twins (with zip & link beds - so can be double). One of the twins has an ensuite WC and basin. 1 x ground floor double. Ground floor bathroom with bath with shower over, washbasin and WC. Modern well equipped fitted kitchen. Cosy sitting room with woodburning stove and dining area with french doors leading to garden/patio area. Kirkbymoorside is a pretty old market town on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, set in the middle of the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. Visitors will find lots to keep them busy in the various shops, tearooms, restaurants and pubs. The town is a charming place with a 'old fashioned feel' and there is something for the golf enthusiasts with an 18 hole course. The superb walking and breathtaking scenery of the National Park are nearby, as well as the beautiful villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham. Just 6 miles away is Pickering which is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a 'must do' day out. Within easy driving distance are the City of York and the Yorkshire Coast.
