A large, semi-detached former farmhouse, situated on a working farm amidst the villages of North Duffield (1.5 miles) and Skipwith (2 miles), only 12 miles south of the ancient city of York. Second sitting room to seat 6. The property has scenic views of the surrounding countryside from the first floor, and a large back garden, perfect for summer barbecues. About the Area: York 12 miles. North Duffield and Skipwith are beautiful Yorkshire villages, 12 miles south of York. With a variety of traditional red brick and modern houses, each village has a superb local pub, pond and village green. North Duffield has a 19th Century Methodist church while Skipwith has a church dating back to the Anglo Saxon times. This is a peaceful area, perfect for getting away for the get away from it all break. A 1000-acre nature reserve dominates the landscape, along with Skipwith Common, perfect for keen birdwatchers. The market town of Selby with its stunning abbey is just seven miles west, and a short drive north is the ancient city of York; from the renowned Minster to the medieval walls, the city is full of historical sites. Explore York's tiny streets and hidden corners or take a trip further afield - the Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors or the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Bridlington, Whitby and Filey are all within easy reach.
