This is a lovely traditional detached cottage, situated in a tranquil hillside position on the outskirts of the enchanting village of Burnsall, with endless views of Burnsall Fell. Initially a farm worker's cottage, it has been lovingly renovated to provide warm, comfortable accommodation with great character and charm, preserving several original features, including the stone fireplace, oak beams and mullion windows. There are two bedrooms: 1 x double with basin, 1 x small bedroom with single & additional pull out 2'6" single. (The two beds can be made into a double but only entered from one side). The ground floor shower room has shower, basin & WC. A fitted kitchen with dining area, utility room, and sitting room with open fire. There is also a lean-to conservatory overlooking the pretty enclosed garden, providing an excellent venue for al fresco dining. An award-winning pub, serving real ales and delicious food is only a short walk away. Good walking and cycling can be enjoyed right from the doorstep. This is a perfect location, all year round. About the Area: Grassington 4 miles; Skipton 12 miles. Burnsall is a charming village in pretty Wharfedale, located on a bend in the River Wharfe and framed by the spectacular backdrop of Burnsall Fell. The 12th Century church is thought to be the oldest building in the village and the attractive village school is one of the oldest in Britain. Probably the most renowned feature in the village is the bridge, a traditional Dales bridge boasting five stone arches. The river winds through the village, which, with an extensive village green and superb walks in the region, make this wonderful area an excellent base for exploring the Dales and everything it has to offer. The village itself contains a small shop selling sweets, ice-cream and a variety of essential goods, a tea room, a pub/hotel, whilst a fuller range of facilities are available at nearby Grassington and Skipton.
