This is a charming, 300 year old, stone built terraced cottage, in the very heart of the appealing village of Lofthouse, in beautiful Nidderdale, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Lovingly renovated, while retaining much of its original character, this enchanting property boasts lovely beamed ceilings and exposed stonework. There is a warm and cosy sitting room with flagstone floor and open fire, and a dining area. Two comfortable bedrooms; 1 x double, 1 x twin, a shower room with shower, basin and WC. The fitted kitchen and front porch all effortlessly combine to create a unique atmosphere, exuding "olde worlde" charm. On the doorstep are the many village facilities, including an exceptional old pub, and many pretty, interesting walks into the renowned Nidderdale landscape. There is plenty to see and do, all year round, and a perfect setting for a romantic break. About the Area: Pateley Bridge 6 miles; Ripon 11 miles. In an idyllic location, amidst the beautiful moorland scenery and lush green meadows of Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the pretty village of Lofthouse. Home to a lovely olde worlde pub, 'The Crown', and one shop, serving as a general store and Post Office. The village is nestled on a low hillside by the river Nidd, with Gouthwaite and Leighton Reservoir, and the traditional old village of Ramsgill being nearby. The local tourist attraction is 'How Stean Gorge', only a fifteen minutes walk from the village. The historic city of Ripon is well worth visiting, and offers visitors a range of attractions; the impressive cathedral with 1300 year old crypt, the Yorkshire Law & Order Museums, a lively weekly market, an International Music Festival and the Ripon Races. Enjoy stunning riverside and canal walks or explore the renowned Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Garden. Also well worth a visit is the nearby small market town of Masham, with its two breweries, glass making studio, shops and gallery.
