This is a lovely, Yorkshire red-brick cottage, located on the borders of the rural village of Skerne, just 10 miles from Beverley. This charming and inviting former farm worker's property was built in 1850, it is full of character and comfortably furnished. There are two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin. Fitted kitchen with breakfast area. Sitting room with dining area and a cosy open fire. A lovely enclosed, west-facing courtyard garden providing an excellent place to relax on a summer's evening. Just a short drive away there are shops, restaurants and pubs, whilst a golf course as well as trout and coarse fishing are within easy reach. This delightful cottage is in a perfect base for exploring the east coast towns of Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby offering sandy beaches. Alternatively, hike the footpaths amongst the beautiful rolling Wolds, discover the breathtaking North York Moors, or take some time to marvel at the caves and soaring cliffs of Flamborough Head and Bempton. Plenty to do for all the family. About the Area: Driffield 1.5 miles; Beverley 10 miles; Bridlington 15 miles. Skerne is a peaceful, back-water village that rests in deep rural countryside, on the borders of the Yorkshire Wolds. Nearby Driffield - known as the 'Capital of The Yorkshire Wolds', provides a variety of family-run tea rooms, shops, public houses, and a market twice a week, as well as two good supermarkets. The town's showground has a yearly Agricultural Show and the historic Steam and Vintage Rally, to name just a few attractions. There are beautiful spots nearby, such as the canal banks at River Head, or out of town to Bell Mills or Kings Mill. Stately homes such as Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall are nearby, whilst Cruckley Animal Farm and Bempton Cliffs are well worth a visit.
