This is the ideal base for walkers with The Cleveland Way passing through the middle of the village. Meanwhile the superb Market towns of Thirsk and Helmsley are only eight miles away. A wonderful location to unwind, relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! About the Area: Thirsk 8 miles; Helmsley 8 miles; Malton 15 miles. A beautiful and charming village with old stone built houses and a lovely church, located two miles from the top of Sutton Bank - home of the Yorkshire Gliding Club with its stunning panoramic views of the countryside. The Cleveland Way passes through the middle of the village and makes for superb walking. Within driving distance are the bustling Market towns of Thirsk (James Herriot country), Helmsley and Malton, The City of York, the Yorkshire Dales and the East Coast and the theme parks of Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land - something for all the family to enjoy.
