The town is a charming place with a 'old fashioned feel' and there is something for the golf enthusiasts with an 18 hole course. The superb walking and breathtaking scenery of the National Park are nearby, as well as the beautiful villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham. Just 6 miles away is Pickering which is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a 'must do' day out. Within easy driving distance are the City of York and the Yorkshire Coast.
