Located in open countryside close to the hamlet of Liverton, is an impressive sandstone farmhouse, with beautiful views towards the coast 2 miles away. Liverton Lodge has several original features, fine oak paneling, beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls, which make it a wonderful property. There are four bedrooms: 2 x double with kingsize beds (one with basin), 2 x twin (one with basin), further attic twin room available upon request (NB: attic room not suitable for young children as steep staircase). Ground floor bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. First floor bathroom with bath and basin, separate WC. Fitted farmhouse style kitchen with adjacent dining area. Separate utility room. Grand piano. Two large airy sitting rooms overlooking the walled garden, one with open fire and window seats. NB. Adjoining the house is a flat. Perfectly situated for beach holidays, bird watching & walking. Within easy reach is the historic town of Whitby, the coastal villages of Staithes & Runswick Bay, not to mention the National Park. About the Area: Staithes 10 miles; Whitby 15 miles; Guisbrough 15 miles. In the peaceful and stunning Esk Valley, in the heart of The North York Moors, nestles the village of Danby. The village boasts two pubs, with both serving food, a bakery, tearooms, and a Post Office & General Stores. Additionally, there is a superb National Park Visitor Centre at Danby Lodge, an historic building set in 13 acres of riverside pasture, providing facilities which include exhibitions, tea rooms and nature trails. The ruins of a 14th Century Castle Danby are in Danby, as well as the sole remaining working water mill on the River Esk. The picturesque Esk Valley Railway line meanders through the village en-route to Whitby. All within easy touring distance are the quaint moorland villages of Hutton-le-hole and Lastingham, the market town of Pickering, the City of York and the Yorkshire Coast villages of Staithes, Saltburn and Robin Hood's Bay.
