Experience an authentic Costa Rican beach vacation in a setting away from crowds yet close to everything. Casa de Somers vacation rental in Esterillos is a beautiful beachfront home sitting in an vast landscaped lot that includes a large yard, lagoon with wood bridge and cascading waterfall.
The property fronts an endless expanse of pristine black volcanic beach lined with palm trees. Esterillos beach is excellent for swimming, shelling and surfing (beginner-intermediate). The tide swings back and forth every day leaving behind tide pools that children love, plus it's an spectacle just to watch it.
A car is recommended; however, distances are short. There are some good restaurants in the area (Italian, Costa Rican, seafood) and a small grocery store is only a 10 minute drive. Jaco and Manuel Antonio are only a 25 and 30 minutes drive away, respectively.
The house offers private pool, full air conditioning, cable TV, phone, internet and onsite caretakers. The living area has wicker furniture and a large TV with cable. The wooden dining table seats 8 guests and an additional 8 can seat at the breakfast counter next to it. The fully equipped kitchen, includes a large stainless steel refrigerator with water and ice dispenser.
The Master bedroom with a view is located on a second floor, boasts wood flooring, high ceilings, a large TV with cable, a King bed, walk-in closet, and an ensuite bathroom with tub. From the wraparound balcony one commands views of the beach and the pool area, sitting on the wood and leather rocking chairs. The other bedrooms are on the ground floor and all have closets. Bedroom 2 has a Double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. Bedrooms 3 (Double) and 4 (2 Twins) share a full bathroom.
The swimming pool area has lounge chairs and a charcoal grill. It's complemented by a palm thatched gazebo (palapa) with seating. This area will likely be the favorite gathering point.
No road passes between the house and the beach. All you do is walk through the palm trees to access the beach. The setting is quiet and neighbors are hardly noticeable.
An adjacent guesthouse (not included in price) is only 15 feet away; with 2 air conditioned bedrooms, one full bathroom and a sitting area.
A large landscaped lot next door -property of the same owners- has what used to be a small restaurant that can now be used together with the lawn area for events such as weddings and corporate parties. Please inquire for pricing.
Pricing quoted here is for 8 guests staying at the main house. The guest house is priced separately.
