A traditional detached Grade II listed barn conversion in the grounds of the owner's 16th Century home. Located in the village of Halford, only 2.5 miles from Shipston-on-Stour. Boasting a classic country charm, there are three bedrooms: 1 x twin (zip & link, can be made up as double by prior arrangement, please advise at time of booking), 1 x double, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and basin. Ground floor WC and basin. Large kitchen with dining area. Cosily furnished sitting room and a private enclosed courtyard garden, equipped for outdoor relaxation and dining. The cottage has been tastefully decorated to make a truly inviting holiday base. Situated in a peaceful area, yet close to the brilliant pub/restaurant and shop in the centre of the village, this base is also in an ideal location for exploring Warwick and Kenilworth Castles, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds. About the area: The village of Halford, enjoys a peaceful setting on the Fosse Way, in the rural south Warwickshire countryside, with good access to a variety of delightful market towns and villages in the heart of England. Just a short drive away is the small market town of Shipston-on-Stour boasting many shops, pubs and restaurants, together with a picturesque 17th Century church. Just 8 miles away is Stratford-upon-Avon, with its Shakespeare's house, Ann Hathaway's cottage and famous theatres and monuments. Warwick's medieval castle and the remains of Kenilworth Castle are nearby, as is the elegant Royal Leamington Spa. Visit the charming towns and villages of the Cotswolds where you can explore places that have remained unchanged for centuries. Within easy reach are Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Bourton on the Water, just to name a few. Nearby are also two golf courses, horse racing at Stratford, Warwick and Cheltenham (just 40 minutes). Amenities: Full oil-fired central heating.
