A superb, modern house, located on a leafy lane opposite a golf course and the poet Tennyson's former home. Furnished and decorated to high standards, the property offers quality accommodation. There are five charming bedrooms: 1 x kingsize double with ensuite (bath, shower over, basin, WC), 1 x kingsize double with ensuite (shower, basin, WC), 1 x twin, 1 x double, 1 x single with additional pull out bed. Bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, WC, basin. Groundfloor cloakroom with WC/basin. Fitted kitchen. Utility room. Sitting room with French doors to conservatory with dining area & additional seating area. Family room with flame effect electric fire. Study. Welcoming reception room. A spacious conservatory provides the perfect place to dine or just relax and enjoy wonderful views of the pretty gardens and countryside beyond. With sandy beaches only a 10 minute drive away and all of the amenities of Freshwater a 10 minute walk away, this truly is an ideal base. About the area: Yarmouth 3 miles; Cowes 16 miles. Freshwater consists of a main town and Freshwater Bay and is situated at the western tip of the Isle of Wight. The town offers a good variety of quaint shops and many hotels, while the white cliffs and superb beaches at Freshwater Bay attract visitors all year. The famous Freshwater Bay Golf Club, overlooking the English Channel, offers an excellent day out for golfers of all abilities, while the surrounding area is a haven for cyclists, walkers and bird watchers, with a wealth of wonderful walks to be enjoyed over the Afton and Tennyson Downs. Visit the Dimbola Photographic Museum in Freshwater Bay, Needles Pleasure Park with its coloured sand cliffs, or, a little further away, the premier yachting centre of Cowes. With the seaside town of Yarmouth nearby and its sandy beaches, pier, shops, eateries and majestic Tudor castle, this truly is an ideal base for an enjoyable holiday.
