Brighstone is a welcoming, picturesque village situated in the South West of the Isle of Wight, it is renowned for its terrace of chalk cottages and their neat thatched roofs, and offers a local shop, post office, pub and tea rooms. Visit to the local museum which gives a fascinating insight into the heritage of the village, where smuggling was once a flourishing occupation! Less than a mile away is the sea, with beaches at Brighstone and Compton Bays, and the coastal path nearby provides visitors with access to the breathtaking cliff top gardens at Blackgang Chine, the sandy beaches at Ventnor and the world renowned 'Needles'.
