One of two superb pine-built holiday lodges situated in a picturesque woodland hillside, overlooking pretty Crossgates village and the open countryside. The property is spacious, well equipped and has all the right ingredients for a memorable and comfortable family holiday. There are two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite (shower cubicle, basin & WC), 1 x twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath with hand-held shower attachment, basin & WC. Fitted kitchen. Sitting room with dining area. Veranda. There are beautiful walks from the door, through woodland and alongside rivers. Tranquil days can be spent just relaxing on your own private veranda, at the Elan Valley Lakes, or for bird watching enthusiast enjoy watching the Red Kites at nearby Rhayader. For a busier day, catch one of the many annual shows at the Builth Wells Showground, visit Llandrindod Wells or try out the course at the Phil Price Rally School. About the area: Llandrindod Wells 3 miles. Crossgates is a scattered village set in wonderful wooded hills in Mid Wales, it has a post office, general store, petrol station and a pub. Magnificent walking is on offer from the village itself, with paths and trails meandering through woodland and along rivers, or for those looking for more challenging terrain, just drive a short distance to the Cambrian Mountains or the stunning Brecon Beacons. Visit Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells or Rhayader to where you will find a good variety of shops, craft centres, museums, pubs, restaurants and tea-rooms. Visit Rhayader where the Red Kite feeding station is, offering a superb opportunity to see these beautiful birds. Take a trip to the quiet Elan Valley Lakes or test your skill at the Phil Price Rally School. This is a perfect base for the whole family. Amenities: Full oil central heating.
