This perfect location has something for everyone whether it's a trip to Chester Zoo, a stroll along the River Dee or a journey to beautiful Wales and its beautiful coast. About the area: The beautiful, rural village of Dodleston is only half a mile from the English/Welsh border. The village has a local shop, a traditional inn serving wholesome food, an historic church from the 16th century and many good walking trails forming part of the 'Cheshire Walks'. A wide variety of hotels, restaurants, pubs and a local golf course are within a few miles, and the nearby River Alyn provides bird spotting opportunities. 5 miles away is the historic City of Chester with its beautiful architecture, good shopping and brilliant pubs and restaurants.
