Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd is a quaint village, just 2 miles south of the town of Ruthin, which is to the north of Llangollen via the magnificent Horseshoe Pass. The village has a 15th century church and a welcoming pub, serving quality food. Charming Ruthin is close by and has a 700 year old history, boasting beautiful, half-timbered buildings, mostly clustered around St Peter's Square, along with various interesting shops and buildings, also the Ruthin Craft Centre, which is home to the work of internationally recognised artists and craftspeople and is definitely worth a visit. Stunning countryside is on Ruthin's doorstep, with Lake Brenig, Loggerheads Country Park, Moel Famau and Clocaenog Forest near by.
