A traditional 19th Century, stone built property, located in the old slate quarrying village of Llan Ffestiniog, near to the centre of Snowdonia National Park. Situated just 2 miles away from Blaenau Ffestiniog, this former quarryman's cottage offers cosy open plan accommodation and has been renovated to retain plenty of its original character. There are two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x small single. Shower room with shower, WC and basin. Open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with open fire. Conservatory with access to garden and mountain views. The surrounding area provides stunning countryside and beautiful views, with the Bach Mountains /Manod Mawr and the hidden Manod Lake only 2 miles away. Enjoy the bustling town of Porthmadog and its marina, or the huge beach at Black Rock Sands, whilst Betws-y-Coed, Bodnant Gardens, Portmeirion, the famous Ffestiniog Railway and Mount Snowdon are all within easy reach. An ideal retreat! About the area: Blaenau Ffestiniog 6 miles; Porthmadog 12 miles; Betws-y-Coed 15 miles. The village of Llan Ffestiniog rests close to the impressive Moelwyn and Manod Mountains, near the centre of Snowdonia National Park. Blaenau Ffestiniog, which is nearby, offers a wide range of shops and pubs, and the surrounding area boasts plenty to see and do. Take a tour around Llechwedd Slate Cavern, a ride on the famous Ffestiniog Railway or just take some time to admire the magnificent mountainous views. With excellent walking, cycling and mountain biking, brilliant sandy beaches, great fishing, delightful towns and villages scattered throughout this area, and the stunning Vale of Ffestiniog and Cynfal waterfalls, this lovely location has something for everyone, any time of year!
