Just 1 mile from Prestatyn's Blue Flag beach and plenty of good golf courses, the cottage makes an ideal base for walkers and cyclists, with Offa's Dyke and the Clwydian Hills near by. Visit Snowdonia including Mt. Snowdon with her summit railway, Lakes Bala and Brenig and famous castles, including Rhuddlan which is only 2 miles away. About the area: Prestatyn 1 mile; Rhuddlan 2 miles. Only one mile away from the lovely North Wales coast, situated between the historic village of Rhuddlan with its amazing castle, and the famous resort of Prestatyn, the village of Meliden boasts a neolithic burial mound called Gop Hill which offers panoramic views of the area, good pubs/restaurants and shops and a history of lead mining. Prestatyn has Blue Flag beach providing miles of golden sand, and is ideal for bathing, water sports and fishing. This is the perfect base for touring the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, Victorian Llandudno, the Clwydian Hill Range, the Welsh Mountain Zoo or historic Chester. This area is also a walker's paradise with the 8th century Offa's Dyke Pathway beginning at Prestatyn seafront and meandering up the stunning countryside all the way to Chepstow, if you're fit!
