A magnificent stone built farmhouse located in an idyllic riverside position, and only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Betws-y-Coed with amenities such as shops, pubs and restaurants. Dating back to the 13th Century, the farmhouse was once used as a mill and the old mill wheel still sits on the side of the house next to the bubbling millstream. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 x double (one with ensuite shower, basin & WC), 1 x twin. Bathroom with corner bath with shower over, basin & WC. Large kitchen/diner with slate floor and exposed beams. Large beamed sitting room with feature open inglenook fireplace. The house exudes character with beams, dressed stone walls and mullion windows. Outside is a field and watermeadow leading to River Llugwy. This is an idyllic spot for a restful holiday! Little wonder that the renowned artist David Cox, painted the house many times. The owner lives in a separate part of the building and will personally welcome visitors. About the area: Llanrwst 5 miles; Blaenau Ffestiniog 11 miles away. Betws-y-Coed is North Wales' most renowned inland resort. Surrounded by woodland and stunning mountain country, this is a true haven for walkers. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets three tributaries flowing from the west, and the magnificant area is made even better by the cascading waterfalls, river pools and very old bridges. Most famous of all is the magnificent Swallow Falls, where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village offers shops, pubs and places to eat.
