The cottage, with its woodburning stove, offers warm and comfortable accommodation all year round and makes an ideal base from which to explore the pretty hill and forest walks in the surrounding area. All of Snowdonia's 1000 metre peaks are within half an hour away, whilst the Penmachno Mountain Bike Track is only half a mile from the door. This is a great location with plenty to offer! About the area: Betws-y-Coed 3 miles; Llanrwst 5 miles; Blaenau Ffestiniog 11 miles. Betws-y-Coed is North Wales' most sought after inland resort. Surrounded by woodland and stunning mountain country, this is a true haven for walkers. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries from the west, and the magnificent area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and very old bridges. Most famous of all is the beautiful Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm.
