Great Potential but Many Problems

RE: Condo Problems/Issues July 20 – August 3, 2009
1. The view of the lake from the deck is blocked by a tree. We noticed this might be an issue in the photos on the internet. The real problem is that we asked on two occasions if the lake view was blocked and we were assured that it was not. When looking out from the kitchen or the middle of the living area at least two thirds of the view is blocked. From the dining area almost 100% is blocked.
2. Garbage disposal did not work. This was fixed the 2nd day.
3. Wi-Fi did not work when we arrived. This was fixed the 2nd day. The Wi-Fi set up directions are not accurate nor clear.
4. Telephone in the room did not work. This was fixed the 2nd day.
5. Microwave did not work. We were allowed to take one from a unit that was not rented but had to return it when its scheduled renters arrived.
6. Smoke alarm went off when the toaster was used. We toast light, there was no visible smoke. We had to disconnect the alarm. A work order was supposedly issued to repair it but it was not repaired.
7. Jacuzzi did not work. We did not try this until the end of our stay or we would have said something earlier.
8. Bugs were everywhere outside the front door and the deck the first few days. We bought our own bug spray to try to fix but also reported the problem to management.
9. Remote control in the bedroom only worked occasionally. The last night there I was able to get it to work by rearranging the order the batteries were inserted. They were in there correctly but were apparently about out of power. They need to be replaced.
10. Finally, to top it off, our last day there the elevator broke. We were located on the 3rd floor at the end and had to haul all our items down the stairs. I have a heart condition where I get out of breath fairly easily so this made packing the van a real challenge.
