This property is great for extended families or groups up to 12 persons

The key to this spacious holiday home is flexibility.... it can accommodate any number of people from two to 12, making it ideal for anything from a romantic hideaway for a couple to a comfortable base for a large group of friends to enjoy the surrounding countryside.

What you get is, in fact, two houses for the price of one. There’s the larger farmhouse and then tacked on the end there is a cottage: so two front doors, two kitchens etc, etc – brilliant for two families sharing.

They are never let separately and we open up the accommodation to suit the size of the party, which means your privacy is assured.

Big plus points outside are the heated swimming pool (child safety fencing), large grassed garden and the rural location with very few passing cars. Inside there are comfortable rooms, wood burners for the odd chilly night and both French and English TV channels if there is a programme you just can’t miss.

The farmhouse has a lounge, large kitchen/diner and shower/laundry room. The lounge has a large stone fireplace, a log burner, TV/DVD and one of the sofas converts into an extra guest bed. The country kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker and fridge freezer, a pine farmhouse table and chairs. The shower room has a loo and spacious shower. There is also a washing machine. Upstairs, there are two oak beamed double bedrooms, and a single bedroom. There is also another shower/loo.

The cottage consists of a large oak-beamed living/dining/kitchen room with an original large stone fireplace and a log burner. The kitchen area is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge freezer and washing machine. The room also holds a dining table and chairs, TV/DVD, sofa bed and easy chairs. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom and a shower room on the first floor and three single beds in a second bedroom at the top of the cottage.

Most rooms have electrical heating and original oak beams. Duvets and pillows are provided. Garden furniture and a barbeque are provided. There is plenty of room to sit out in the garden.

If there are any problems on site, we have a local representative who can sort things out for guests

My husband and I bought the property years ago as an escape from busy professional jobs in London. We then had young children but saw potential for them to bring their families all together in the future. My grandchildren from my eldest child now visit!

My other two children bring their partners - again as a romantic getaway to enjoy the peace and quiet.

St. Maleu is a peaceful area offering the perfect location for exploring both the north and south coast of Brittany. Ereac is a small village with a post office, shop, pharmacy, boulangerie, restaurant and several bars.

Lanrelas is the next village along and offers a safe teenage 'hangout' with free open-air swimming pool, volley ball or badminton courts set beside the River Rance and arboretum which is great for walks.

Foret de Broceliande, This magical forest, made famous by Merlin who met the beautiful fairy Vivianne and where King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table came in search of the Holy Grail, lies about 15 miles to the southeast

This is one of Brittany's beautiful Medieval towns 25 miles away has cobbled streets, historic half-timbered buildings, restaurants and an excellent shopping center. River cruises are available

25% non refundable deposit to be paid at the time of booking. The remainderof the balance is due 8 weeks before the start of the rental period.

The property is split between a farmhouse and a cottage. The farmhouse has a kitchen, large lounge with a log fire, two shower rooms, 3 bedrooms , kitchen and lounge. The gite is open plan downstairs, a table that seats 8-10 and plenty of lounge space with a log fire. 1 shower room, 1 double bedroom, 1 triple bedroom.
