About The Owner

Gerry was one of the first female snowboard instructors for Vail in 1992 and still teaches private lessons for Vail and Beaver Creek. She coached at Windell's snowboard camp in Mt. Hood, OR 1995-1998 summers where Shawn White, Gretchen Bleiler, Andy McDonald and Carey Hart, and many more extreme athletes were all campers and are her friends. She still attends the winter X-Games (she competed in Winter X boardercross 1997,1998) in Aspen every season and knows all the ins/outs of the games! She is an avid ATVer,biker,horseback rider,snowmobiler and backcountry snowboarder. She is a true mountain local and can makeyour Alpine Rocky Mountain visit the vacation of a lifetime-ALL FOUR SEASONS ARE AMAZING HERE!!!

She owns the property with her boyfriend Garrett, who is also an avid outdoorsman and has the handyman skills needed for a rental property, especially this gorgeous, unique, 100 year old remodeled, private log cabin!!!!

Gerry grew up running florists for her Master Florist mother and she and Garrett now own a custom/classic Holiday Decorating & Property maintenance company that keeps them busy year round!

This property is amazing. It is a large comfortable two bedroom, two bath home with all the parking you could want. The 2.5 acre pasture out front is along convenient highway 6 and keeps the property incredibly private, yet not miles away to get groceries, go to restaurants, bowl, local breweries or gas, etc. Between the back of the house and the private access to BLM, White River National Forest, Trophy Buck Unit 44 is 3.5 acres of land with pond with waterfall and creek running through it (summer months), 9 HOLE DISC GOLF Course on the property! Colorado is just an amazing place to live with the year-round activites and this home allows you to enjoy all of them, many right on the property. It is all inclusive for the months of Jan, Feb, March, April 2013 OR Flexible dates and the rate can be negotiated for multiple or other situations. Don't hesitate to ask!. There is NO extra fee for WIFI or DirecTv with HD and DVRs, unlimited Parking (most places around here you get one spot) for your vehicles AND toys, no setting up utilities or stocking wood, plowing is included, pets are welcome and that alone is RARE to find around the Vail Valley. Private access to 100,000 miles of ATV,singletrack or trail mountain Biking,horseback riding,four-wheeling,hiking,cross country skiing, snowmobiling,backcountry skiing and snowboarding,snowshoeing-Hardscrabble Mountain, BLM land and White River National Forest directly out of the property. RIGHT OUT THE BACK DOOR TO UNIT 44 HUNTING UNIT, TROPHY BUCK, ELK, BEAR, ETC. PERFECT FOR ALL AVID HUNTERS!!! Cold storage cooler on Site-way at the back of the property. Pasture and corralls for those wanting to bring their HORSES and ride out the back with NO TRAILERING-AS ALSO WITH ATVS, SNOWMOBILES, ETC. Clean, clear sandy swim pond with waterfall/water feature flows off Brush Creek and back to Eagle River from April to November (it is then cut off so the trout can survive the winters up here),lots of wood and rope swings over the creek for kids of all ages. Very private and beautiful with 2 horses and 2 calves in the front pasture-a real country and peaceful setting!!

We stayed at Gerry's place when it was in remodel stage, But it is totally worth it!! Not to mention Gerry was the perfect host, It has BLM access if you are a hunter which we were.
And anothers set of hunters were also there and brought in some awesome bucks!
We could see the potential of where Gerry's place (prior finish of the remodel) and it was still perfect. We hope to return one day soon. Thanks Gerry!
