This is a very secluded and great property to stay at if you have a 4x4 or SUV. You don't have to worry about the neighbors because this cabin is tucked away nicely with a great view. The interior is exactly as the pictures show online, very rustic and tastefully done. There is only 1 tv & DVD player and it's in the greatroom so bring our own portable DVD player and favorite board games. I would not reccommend this for families with young children because there is no yard to play in and the property slopes down a little steeply. The driveway is wide enough for 2 cars side x side or 3 behind the other. There is no ironing board/iron but there is a small travel size hairdryer to use. They had plenty of dishwashing detergent/toilet paper and bath towels too. Bring an extra bar of soap and a night light or two (we only had those in the 2 full baths) and a working flashlight. The power went out for about 45min because of high wind and none of the ones at the cabin worked. Thankfully the kids had theirs.
Although the hottub looks far from the cabin, it's not. It's off the back porch and with the porch light on, it give enough light making it very romantic.Teenagers with a mountain bike/ATV will have a blast because there are trails that they can explore. Walking is not suggested as the road curves too much and there is very limited sight in some places, not to mention the gnats are still out. I expecially like the loft area because you can see the mountains from your bed. Privacy is out of the question because it is an open area so there's no hiding from the litte ones.
Things to consider are: the cabin is located off a gravel road that is only wide enough for 1 car at a time.Don't get caught driving back at night. There are no street lights anywhere and it's pitch dark out there. There is a small creek that you have to cross. It rained the night before our departure home making it a little tricky to cross because it swelled alittle. I have a Toyota Avalon and with the trunk packed tight plus our body weight, the car sat lower than normal so the undercarriage took a beating. You have to take your garbage to the dumpsters on Hwy 19 when you leave and we did not have any room left so my husband had to take them first. I was not happy at having trash bags in my trunk, Yuck! Take extra garbage bags, you'd be surprised at the amount of trash you can collect in a day and even though we used the dumsters on our 2nd day, we still had 2 bags on our last day.
