Carters Lake is the deepest man-made lake east of the Mississippi river and is just across the street from Talking Rock Creek Properties. The area provides all sorts of lake fun such as fishing, hiking, swimming, camping, boating, picnic areas, as well as excellent beginner to advance level mountain bike trails. Be sure to also visit the impressive Corps of Engineers Dam. Lake ViewOverlooks a lake or pond but not directly accessible from the property. Some hiking or driving may be required to access the lake or pond. Talking Rock Creek Resort is a new gated mountain resort community in a secluded and peaceful mountain retreat near the south shores of Carters Lake.
